Itinerary

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our safari guide and depart for Samburu National Reserve. The journey takes you through Kenya’s central highlands with scenic views of Mount Kenya and local farming communities. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp and later relax before heading out for an evening game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River. This reserve is home to elephants, lions, leopards and the unique Samburu Special Five including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk and Beisa oryx. Dinner and overnight will be in Samburu.

This day is spent exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve’s river attracts a large concentration of wildlife making it easier to spot elephants, big cats and many bird species. You may also visit a Samburu village to experience the local culture, traditional dances and lifestyle. The rest of the day is spent enjoying the wilderness, photography and relaxation at the lodge or camp. Dinner and overnight will be in Samburu

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park passing through the Great Rift Valley with a stop at a scenic viewpoint. You will arrive in Nakuru in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. The park is famous for rhinos, flamingos, Rothschild giraffes, lions, leopards and large troops of baboons. You will also visit Baboon Cliff for a panoramic view of the lake and, if time allows, Makalia Falls. Dinner and overnight will be in Nakuru.

After breakfast, you will depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve driving through the scenic Maasai plains. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp and later go for an afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five which include lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. Dinner and overnight will be in Maasai Mara.

This day is spent exploring Maasai Mara National Reserve with either morning and afternoon game drives or a full day game drive with picnic lunch. The reserve is famous for the Great Migration where thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River from July to October. You will visit the Mara River where hippos and crocodiles are commonly seen. An optional Maasai village visit or hot air balloon safari can be arranged. Dinner and overnight will be in Maasai Mara

You will have an early morning game drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve before departing for Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your safari.
